A Fresh Start

As I find myself in a new place I am determined to start fresh with a whole new look on running. Since most of the big races are on Sundays here in Japan and I have already vowed to not run on Sunday, I will be primarily doing smaller races as they occur on Saturdays. With that in mind it is somewhat hard to train as I don't know exactly what to train for. However, with a consistent weekly running routine coupled with weekly weight and core training I am ready to take on whatever comes my way. I will be tracking my weekly progress in hopes that I will stay motivated to keep excelling. As I get motivated by reading other running blogs I hope that my training may be of use to someone else who is also looking for new ideas with their training. Enjoy!

Week of September 20-24

Monday (long)
7 miles with 7:40/mile avg pace.

Tuesday (moderate)
3 1/2 miles moderate pace

Wednesday (hills)
15 min warm up and 3X600m hills. I almost died it was so hard...like
running up gut hill from my HS cross country course. 2:49, 2:48. 2:49. I need to work on getting that faster. It's been years since I've done this kind of hill workout.
